cruising...oh, you know!
"Cruising is repairing your boat in exotic ports all over the world."
-Popular definition of cruising
"There's nothing better than messing with boats"
-Some Winnie the Pooh character
As Stem to Stern began the process of stripping the old bottom paint off of Enee they found that we have water intrusion withing the fiberglass hull. Not too much blistering and no delamination yet so that's good. The bad news is that it will take a month for the drying out process to be completed. Well, in that time we will be able to stay on board in the yard and give the hull a daily scrubbing as well as finishing up ALL of our other projects. So, be prepared for this blog to be all about boat repair for a month and little about sailing!

WOW!! you are way off the chart!
When you move back onto the boat will you be in the equilivant of a second story walk up (except walking up a ladder)? How Chicago! K
At least you get to let the boat dry out in Florida, rather than cold Chicago! Although, if Chicago is like Detroit right now, then it isn't cold. We have a high of 53 degrees today. One word of advice from somebody who has lived on the hard before. If you don't already, make sure you tie the ladder to the boat. It really isn't any fun when you wake up in the morning and can't get off your boat. Don't ask how I know.

Hey Scott - Next time try to find a surveyor who isn't related to the owner of the boat you are buying.
Great blog. I've just been searching for other sailing blogs and found yours. Feel free to take a look at mine. And good luck with the work.
"There's nothing better than messing with boats" was said by the Rat in "Wind in the Willows". Winnie the Pooh said "I've got a rumbly in my tumbly"
